Ingredients
CLASSIC HOT CHOCOLATE:
- 1 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup coconut milk
- 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 tbsp maple syrup, honey or agave
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp dark chocolate chips
IMMUNE BOOSTING HOT CHOCOLATE:
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp maple syrup, honey or agave
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
- 1/8 tsp ground turmeric
- pinch of black pepper
OATMEAL HOT CHOCOLATE:
- 1 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup coconut milk
- 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 5-6 dates
- 1 tbsp rolled oats
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/8 tsp salt
Instructions
- Add 1 cup milk, dates and rolled oats into a blender jug. Soak for 30 minutes and blend until smooth.
- In a saucepan, add the oat mixture, rest of the milk, cocoa powder, vanilla, and salt, and whisk well until combined.
- Bring to heat and genly simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Serve hot with spoonful of whipped cream or coconut whipped cream on top. Sprinkle with rolled oats.
